Gorakhpur Urban is an Assembly constituency of the Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh. There were a total of 4,29,226 voters in the Gorakhpur Urban constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled in the sixth phase i.e. on March 3, 2022. While in 2017, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Dr Radha Mohan Das Agrawal won the seat, the party has fielded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur Urban. It must be noted that this Assembly seat falls under the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency, which was represented by Adityanath for a long.
