Nakur is one of the Assembly constituencies under the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. However, this seat falls under the Kairana Lok Sabha seat. The election on this seat is going to be interesting as Samajwadi Party has fielded former BJP minister Dr Dharam Singh Saini from this seat. Saini is the sitting MLA from this Assembly seat and had won the 2017 election as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. This is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. The voting is scheduled in the second phase i.e. on February 14, 2022.
