Noida is one of the three Assembly seats of the Gautam Buddha Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh and also part of the Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha constituency. While the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded sitting MLA Pankaj Singh, the Congress party has given the ticket to Pankhuri Pathak. This is the first time Pathak will be contesting any election. The Noida Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. The voting is scheduled in the first phase i.e. on February 10, 2022. Pankaj Singh is the son of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
