Khatima is one of the Assembly constituencies of the Udham Singh Nagar district in Uttarakhand. There were a total of 1,06,200 voters in the Khatima constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled to be held in a single phase in Uttarakhand i.e. on February 14, 2022. In 2017, Bharatiya Janata Party's Pushkar Singh Dhami won the seat. Interestingly, Dhami took over as the state's Chief Minister, succeeding Tirath Singh Rawat in July 2021. The BJP has fielded Pushkar Singh Dhami from the seat yet again. It must be noted that this Assembly seat falls under the Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by BJP's Ajay Bhatt.
