Dera Baba Nanak is one of the Assembly seats of Punjab's Gurdaspur district and also part of the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency. The Dera Baba Nanak Assembly seat has been a traditional seat of the Congress party leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. Randhawa won the seat in 2002 and 2012 also. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Gurdeep Singh Randhawa from this constituency. The Dera Baba Nanak Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. The voting on this constituency is scheduled for February 20, 2022.
