Pargat Singh Powar - Jalandhar Cantt ચૂંટણી પરિણામો 2022

Pargat Singh is an Indian hockey player-turned-politician who is a member of the Indian National Congress in Punjab. Before entering politics, he worked as an SP in the Punjab Police. He has served as a Congress MLA from the Jalandhar Cantt seat since 2017. In the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections, he defeated Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sarabjit Singh Makkar by 29,124 votes (22.97% of total valid votes). In 2012, Pargat Singh was with the Shiromani Akali Dal and represented the Jalandhar Cantt constituency in the Assembly. For the third time in a row, he will run in the Punjab assembly elections. Before joining the Congress party, Powar, together with Navjot Singh Sidhu and the Bains brothers, founded a new political front called Aawaaz-e-Punjab, pledging to oppose those who were anti-Punjab.
