Uripok is an Assembly constituency of the Imphal West district in Manipur. There were a total of 30,135 voters in the Uripok constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled in the first phase i.e. on February 28, 2022. In 2017, National People's Party's Yumnam Joykumar Singh had won the seat. Singh was the Deputy Chief Minister in the Biren Singh government. This time, while, BJP has fielded retired IAS officer Kh Raghumani Singh from the seat, the Congress party has has has chosen Nungleppam Mahananda Singh as its candidate from the seat. The Uripok Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) or Scheduled Tribes (Sts). Also, this Assembly seat falls under the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
