Olly Stone

England
Bowler
Right-arm fast 31 yrs.

When Olly Peter Stone bowls at full force, cricket fans can witness one of the fastest bowlers in England at action. Nevertheless, Stone's career has also been hampered by injuries, much like that of any other pacer. Stones began his county cricket career with the Northants. His raw pace quickly made him a star, and he was selected for the England U-19 team for the Youth Test series against South Africa U-19.

Stone's 2014–15 County season was noteworthy as he solidified his position as a key player on the County team. He was bowling well on a regular basis and was the Northants' man in form. Although he was consistently considered for national selection, injuries were a major factor. Before the 2017 County season, he moved to Warwickshire.
When Stones was forced to miss more than a year's worth of cricket in 2015, it was a really testing period for him. He suffered cartilage and anterior ligament damage whilst celebrating Moeen Ali's wicket in a County match. Considering that he was bowling brilliantly at the time and that the England selectors were keeping an eye on his development, it was very embarrassing for him. After making his comeback in the middle of the 2017 season, the bowler only saw one first-class game in which he consistently hit 92 mph and bowled with the same zip.

In the ensuing season, Stone made his ODI debut while touring Sri Lanka as a member of the English squad. The pacer debuted for the Test team later in 2019 in the historic match against Ireland.

The Emerald Headingley-based Northern Superchargers franchise chose Stone in 2021. The following year, he made his T20I debut against Pakistan. Stone has been a bit-part player for the national side, with others overtaking him and injuries also not helping him either to get a consistent run in the team.
