Joshua Da Silva
Joshua Da Silva is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter representing the West Indies. Hailing from Port Of Spain, it all began for Joshua through junior cricket for Trinidad and Tobago. He slowly but steadily rose up the ranks of the West Indies domestic circuit. In 2018, Joshua made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago against the Windward Islands in the Regional Four-Day Tournament. In his maiden List A season for Trinidad and Tobago, he finished the competition with 310 runs and helped his side clinch the title. Considering his sensational performances on the West Indies domestic scene, Joshua received his maiden Test call-up for the tour of England. He could not make his debut in that series, though. Later in 2020, he made his Test debut in New Zealand. In the following year, he made his ODI debut against Bangladesh. He has been more impressive in the Test arena and has since become a regular member of the West Indies Test side.
Joshua Da Silva bats in the lower order for the West Indies in the Test format. He can anchor the inning as well as up the ante when the need arises. His neat glovework behind the stumps makes him an important asset for the West Indies Test side.
