Rajkot: In an attempt to increase awareness among the citizens of Rajkot, the city’s traffic police has organized ‘Road Safety Week’. There has been an increase in geographical area of Rajkot but the number of traffic police remained the same. Last year, traffic police recovered Rs 3.19 crore from 3 lakh offenders. Rajkot Traffic Department is suffering from shortage of employees as it has only 40 personnel.
