Ahmedabad: Gujarat High Court on Monday directed AMC to clear Thaltej pond of garbage. The court’s directive came in response to a PIL. It was observed by the court that due to lack of maintenance, people living in the pond’s surroundings suffer from diseases like dengue. Moreover, the court asked city collector Rajkumar Beniwal to stop illegal construction at the pond and ordered him to put fences around it.
