શારજાહ નજીક સમુદ્રમાં ક્રૂડ ઓઇલ ટેન્કર પર ડ્રોન હુમલો થયાના સમાચાર સામે આવ્યા છે. તેમાં બાવીસ ભારતીય ખલાસીઓ સવાર હતા. રાહતની વાત છે કે હુમલા બાદ તમામ ભારતીય ક્રૂ સભ્યો સુરક્ષિત છે. કેન્દ્રીય બંદરો, શિપિંગ અને જળમાર્ગ મંત્રી સર્બાનંદ સોનોવાલે આ માહિતી આપી છે. મંત્રીના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર, આ ઘટના 9 ઓક્ટોબરના રોજ શારજાહ એન્કોરેજ નજીક બની હતી. હુમલાનું લક્ષ્ય પનામા-ધ્વજવાળા ક્રૂડ ઓઇલ ટેન્કર MT GEM નંબર 2 હતું. બોર્ડ પર સવાર તમામ 22 ભારતીય ખલાસીઓની સલામતીની પુષ્ટિ કરવામાં આવી છે.

I am relieved to share that all 22 of our Indian seafarers onboard are reported to be completely safe.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and in contact with the ship management company to ensure security and wellbeing of our seafarers.

સરકાર ભારતીય ખલાસીઓની સલામતી પર નજર રાખી રહી છે

સર્બાનંદ સોનોવાલે સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર જણાવ્યું હતું કે સરકાર પરિસ્થિતિ પર સતત નજર રાખી રહી છે. તેમણે રાહત વ્યક્ત કરી હતી કે તમામ 22 ભારતીય ખલાસીઓ સુરક્ષિત છે. જોકે, તેમના નિવેદનમાં હુમલા પાછળ કોણ હતું અને જહાજને કેટલું નુકસાન થયું હતું તેની વિગતો આપવામાં આવી નથી.
