Kannada actress and model Maria Susairaj, who was jailed in the sensational Neeraj Grover murder case, was arrested in Ahmedabad in a case of alleged cheating lodged against her and four others in Vadodara. Acting on a tip-off from Vadodara police, Ahmedabad crime branch arrested Susairaj in Naroda where she had come to meet her advocate after Gujarat high court rejected her anticipatory bail plea in the fraud case.
