Ahmedabad : The Iron man of India, Sardar Patel had set aside a huge parcel of land, almost 120 acres, to provide shelter to thou sands of refugees fleeing from Pakistan during Partition. But today Sardaranagar reeks of corruption and a major land scam. The Ahmedabad collector declared that its preliminary investigations has revealed that nearly 350 land parcels that belonged to the revenue department in Sardaranagar has been swindled off by land sharks and construction mafia, by creating fake property papers and cards.Collector Rajkumar Beniwal has formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the matter.
